Vincitori dei BAFTA Games Awards 2023: Vampire Survivors incoronato miglior gioco, God of War Ragnarök vince sei trofei e altro

Vampire Survivors ha portato a casa il massimo riconoscimento ai BAFTA Games Awards, in quello che potrebbe essere definito il momento più scioccante della cerimonia. Il titolo indie ha vinto due trofei: Best Game Design e l’ambito premio Best Game, battendo God of War Ragnarök, che era in testa con sei premi. Anche lo sviluppatore Poncle ha confessato sul palco che non si aspettavano di vincere. La cerimonia è stata trasmessa in streaming in diretta su Twitch all’inizio di venerdì e ha visto God of War Ragnarök dominare la formazione con un record di 14 nomination, anche se sei di loro erano nomination per il suo cast stellare. Il sequel sviluppato da Santa Monica Studio, tuttavia, si è assicurato l’EE Game of the Year, un premio votato pubblicamente che non fa ufficialmente parte dei BAFTA.

Sorprendentemente, God of War Ragnarök ha anche rubato il premio per Audio Achievement da Metal: Hellsinger, il ritmo-FPS basato su dove distruggi nemici demoniaci mentre la musica rock risuona in sottofondo.
